whether you’re here for a quick thrift trip, or looking for new spots to add to your thrift roster – you can’t miss out on these three toronto thrift stores!
after four years scouring the streets of toronto for the best thrifted (note: not vintage) spots, i feel confident in my recommendations. that being said, toronto is full to the brim of hidden gems around every corner, so my list is always growing!
lucky tiger vintage

this thrifted and vintage store has two locations, both on bloor. the larger of the two, on bloor and lansdowne, is a haven for vintage-tee and denim lovers. while a lot of curated thrift and vintage stores often specialize in specific categories of clothing (work-wear, band tee’s, leathers, you name it), what makes lucky tiger vintage special to me is its wide selection which appeals to a myriad of different types of thrifter.
they have everything from floor length fur coats, to 60’s style dresses, to graphic tee’s and cowboy boots.

value village

in terms of curation, value village is pretty far on the other side of the spectrum. value village is a chain of thrift stores across canada, with several locations all over Toronto. their selection is not curated at all, which makes finding good pieces a bit more of a hunt – but a fun challenge if you’re ready to spend a few hours roaming the aisles!
my favourite locations are on bloor/lansdowne and rogers road, but you really can find them all over the city! they also recently opened value village boutiques – smaller, more curated versions of the store – on bloor and queen st w.
pro tip: bring something to donate for a 20% off discount coupon at value village locations – but there are no donation bins at the value village boutique locations!
space vintage
space vintage is another favourite, in the thrifting heaven that is kensington market. kensington is known for its incredible selection of thrift stores, but space vintage has a special place in my heart. it’s a really small store, but in the warmer months it makes use of its patio and front yard area, allowing customers to browse the clothes in the sunshine.
space vintage is family-owned and run by a mother-daughter duo. the selection is super curated, with a specialty in formal dresses and gowns. they also offer a personal styling service – i’ve never tried it out but based on the space vintage selection, i would trust them with my wardrobe.
